To add to the confusion surrounding the evolution of the Optima thru Mk1 to Mk2 to Mk3 a sticker has now been added to one side of the box and the rear upper side of the radio.
The picture shown is a MK2 that has been factory converted to MK3, with the faster processor, function returned to the clarifier, stiffened up VFO selector and the original MK2 recessed fan. Front display has AM/FM/SSB HF Transceiver. But it is a MK3 !! …albeit in MK2 clothing!
You won’t see too many like this! These are a batch of about 9 MK2 that we had in stock and returned to the factory in China to get upgraded to MK3.
For those in doubt with what they have the serial number will also tell us the history as the factory keeps good records about the condition and type of each radio.
