The holiday season has hit Indonesia again. Each year at Ramadhan millions of people exodus Jakarta to return to their home villages in Java and all over. Most of them travel by road…Imagine bumper to bumper traffic for 200km for about 3 days and you starting to get close. The exodus is monitored on TV by all stations and all we get is accident reports and traffic statistics. Most accidents involve at least one bus. It is not fun. I’m not looking forward to it…I have about 400km to endure…plan to leave Thursday morning when it all should have died down…In the past the normal 5-6 hour journey has taken 22 hours. The rain isn’t going to help matters much either. I will have the radio to keep me company on the return run the following day..asuming there is some propagation.
